WHAT on earth is this, you might ask?! It is a confetti egg made by my family! We have made them every year since I was a child. This is a cheater version, actually from last year, since it was not a dyed egg first. This year we went all out with a marbling dye kit! Every year we all make these crazy eggs and then after the kids find them, we all run around and crack them on eachothers heads. Sounds like a calm Easter activity, right?! LOL! It is a family tradition through and through and it has not been without it's own controversy over the years... Crack it in your hand (or not) before putting it on someones head (btw, it hurts if you don't!)... place it down the back of someones shirt and then crack it...the dreaded, who's going to have the mess at their house this year?...the year they were banned from my parents house, and someone snuck a dozen in...the year my cousins and I decided that 11 dozen was a good number to do...the year Erica was frightened of the entire event and stayed inside with me, watching from a window.
All in all, it is a tradition that I hope my girls will keep as they grow up~ Happy Easter to all of my friends and family!
